Leadership in Environmental Sustainability

I am currently registered to complete the Leadership in Environmental Sustainability certificate, and have been accepted based on my experience, knowledge, and leadership capabilities. When I started my post-secondary education journey I completed two years of an elementary education degree. Although I was drawn to education and interested in teaching children, I inevitably transferred into the Earth and Environmental Science program to explore my passion of environmental stewardship. Following completion of my undergraduate degree I pursued a career in environmental consulting. I received my designation as a Professional Agrologist, specializing in soil, water, and air quality. To maintain my status as a P.Ag. I fulfilled annual requirements of professional development standards, continuing to expand my knowledge and expertise. I have a deep understanding of our interconnectedness with the environment and how our relationship with it needs to be symbiotic, not parasitic. For people to exist harmoniously with the planet we must first understand our roles as stewards of the Earth and our allied responsibilities. My undergraduate education, articling experience, and continued professional development were all extremely valuable experiences, providing me with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to be an environmental leader in schools and the greater community.
